What does tumbleweed mean?

I take it as meaning that someone finds the subject of no interest - very boring.

Or it can be used another way to show that some other person has missed the point of a post.

Yes... I agree... this is one of my favourites and indicates that although the previous post has been read, it hasn't been entirely understood or agreed with because the bloke who wrote it is mental or so far off the mark as to be unworthy of a proper reply!
