    CD/DVD drive in laptop

    sometimes the CD will work and then sometimes it will stop in the middle of playing or ripping...is something wrong with my DVD rom?

          What else have you got going on in the background (or foreground)? What happens when you play or rip and do NOTHING else with your machine. What kind of laptop, Op Sys, memory etc etc

              Could be a dirty Lens.... take it to a computer shop and get them to clean it or you can also buy a cleaning disk like this one...
