I don't get why your upstream is so much more than down.
Also I can't understand why I'm getting:

When BT (provider) say we'll be lucky to hit just over a third of that here because of crappy infrastructure and distance from exchange (6.5miles)
BKK test looks about right for here:

but they must be busy, Penang is twice that

It's a 5 K Â point-to-point microwave radiio connection from my home to the data center.
The drop in the receive rate is being caused by an American Weather Radar system South of me which is being detected by the radios software. Under FCC rules the available spread spectrum channels must then auto lock out so we don't interfere with the radar system.Comment

I am at 3518 down and 430 upload.
I wish Thailand would speed up their expensive and crappy connections.
