I am unable to post my profile pic in jpg format 50 KB which i think is small, please help and advise

I increased the file size for profile photos. However you are still confined to 300w x 300h
If you want to post bigger pics create a gallery or use your blog.

You have to resize your avatar photo to 300x300 pixels or smaller before it will show up properly.
