I have always travelled with a PC; now I am an iPad convert.
After seeing Snick's iPad in July I purchased the top of the range iPad with an SD Card Reader and a USB Adaptor.
I have used the iPad whilst travelling since and find I can do (almost) everything I need on the road, including logging into my Office Server and my home Skybox.
I find the iPad particularly good for converting downloaded movies and TV series through the AirVideo App, and then watching the movies on long plane flights.
iPad battery life is great compared to a Wintel laptop.
I have since purchased a big screen iMac for my office but find I'm so Windows profficient that I admit to having great difficulty with the Mac operating system. However, I know I will 'get it' in a short time, as if one forgets everything one knows about Microsoft systems, the Apple's systems are intuitive.
When iPad V2 comes out I will change my existing iPad V1 because the one thing I miss is Skype (or its equivalent).

So, I've got this one sitting in my virtual shopping cart, but before I check out I wanted to see if you guys (Jake and/or Snick in particular) would sign off on this baby.
See any problems with it? I just wanna be able to download photos from my cool new camera, edit them using Google Picaso, upload them to my TR which I'll write from this baby, and connect to the internet via WiFi.
I'll also want to load "GoToMyPC" on it so I can VPN in to the office from Thailand, otherwise Big Boss Man won't let me take off for 3 weeks in a row.
Ok, what do you think?
I'm also thinking Costco has a 90 day return policy, so if after my trip I still feel like I REALLY don't need a netbook (along with my Apple iMac, Apple iPad, and Dell Desktop machines) then I just return it and use the credit to buy something I REALLY need... like an XBox360.

DT, try to handle the netbook before you buy it. Some of the comments re: keyboard and typing sound like it could cause problems. The touchpad sounds like it could be erratic as well, but an external mouse could solve that problem.
You might want to upgrade the RAM to 2 GB as it would make photo editing faster and smoother, if you need to do much more than resizing and cropping.
