There are a few apps for learning Thai, and English-Thai dictionaries (with sound clips).

Go to iTunes store and lookup 'thai' , then select 'apps'

It states on the technical specs page that it complies with:-    Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n)

That is all the current specs - in fact 'a' is close to being obsolete and practically everything supplied now is g or n  -
 or n+ which is the same as n for most practical purposes.

So the short answer is it should work fine.

Normally if you get any problems it's with the way it's been set up.
A little reading on line and a couple of adjustments to settings will normally get things working.

Yep been thinking, might as well just use google on my laptop to translate if I have to, rather than portable ipod touch.

I just thought it would be nice to have on the go.
