        Very nice pix there Manarak...

Are they j-pegs straight from the camera? No post production fiddling?

These are a terrific advertisement for the Canon 550D.

Between you & Azza, the forum is looking up.

Shouldn't we be passing the hat around so we can buy one for Juri?

        Ohh...               the lost opportunities...
Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

yes, the jpgs are straight out of the camera, I just resized them.

I actually tired to improve the pics with the usual automatic programs, but the result was not as good as the original.

now I just need to get the f/1.4 lens, and I'll be all set...

None of the zoom lenses gets even close to f/1.4!

I found the relatively inexpensive 30mm Sigma lens (approx. 500 USD) to be the best after the exhorbitant 24mm Canon
                  (http://www.the-digital-picture.com/R...ns-Review.aspx): 1700 USD !

Of course, one could go for the Canon 28mm f/1.8, but the Sigma is f/1.4!

Last two shots in the Exif it says you have your White balance set to "Fluorescent".

Change that and see if you like the result.

funny? white balance has been on "auto" all the way.

I just picked up my 30mm f/1.4 lens.
Wow, this thing just sees in the dark :-)

Seems perfect for taking pics from 3 meters away!

I think I will not regret this buy - In the LOS I'll change the lens at about 18:00 and it won't leave the camera until morning ;-)
