Apparently, Thailand has now more bandwidth to the USA, the new link has been put in service today.

Go to ThaiVisa.com to read the bla bla.

    So... did your bandwidth improve?

Thailand has had plenty of bandwidth for years and years. This has not changed. The core of the problems now are the same as before:

            1. ISPs perform bandwidth shaping (deliberately slow down certain things)
            2. ISPs do not purchase enough bandwidth to serve their customers. That is why some times of the day things bog down to a crawl.
            3. There is insufficient redundancy in the system. If a underwater link fails the ISP just sits on their hands and say it's not our problem meanwhile raking in profits.

Thus, the problem is the ISP model found in Thailand. It must make for some very rich people at the top at the expense of the end users.

Are you posting from Thailand or the USA or ?

I'm in Pattaya and my connection is slightly improved today...But whether or not that is the result of the new cable I don't really know...
