Avatar Upload Help!

I have been trying to upload an avitar from my PC. Its a simple jpeg. I go through all the motions to upload it & when I think its done. Raise a new post its not there. Sorry can somebody help me step by step. I,m not completely PC dumb but this ones foxing me

In Avatar options..

go to "upload your own avatar" at the bottom of the page..

press "choose file" then choose file..

press "upload"

then go find your picture in the file list box..

double click it..

then press "add this avatar to my profile"

and then your done..

Spot on , also make sure it has been re-sized to 150 first

And give it a recognizable name or you'll never find it in the avatar quagmire...
