Hello lads - can anyone help me out?

My laptop mouse curser has started clicking stuff by itself. As i scroll over stuff it will just randomly click it which is pissing me off.

What kind of mouse? Is it a wireless mouse in a USB hub?

sorry - i meant "mousepad" or whatever it is called, the mouse that is built into the laptop

If you mean that the mouse is jumping else where when you're doing other things, then it may be the mousepad sensitivity.

It's probably a Synaptics mouse pad as most laptops ship with these. The mouse drivers that ship with most laptops only allow configuration of mouse speed, size, trails, etc.

Google Synaptics drivers and download/install latest drivers. After you do that you should get a few extra controls in the control panel, which include "palm sensitivity". Reduce (or increase) this, add salt and rinse!

If you mean the mouse is moving when you're not doing anything at all, then its an imbalance on the mousepad sensors. Short of getting a new mousepad the sensitivity settings on the latest drivers above should help.
