Logging on from the PRC...

I don't know whether there is a solution to this problem? I reside in the PRC, but am not a local. I can log on via proxify.com where I pay for an account. However, when logging on to this forum I get bumped every couple of minutes which makes it a real hassle.

At the moment I am at home in Europe using a temporary internet connection and everything works fine.

Does anyone have any ideas how I could solve the prob in the Middle Kingdom other than move

Chinaman - it was good to meet you last year with pigdogg! I think the best solution to use while you are in China is a subscription VPN (virtual private network). There are a couple of threads about it and here is a good one: Censored Access

It may also be possible to set up your own VPN. You can Google it. I am not so sure about how to do it. Perhaps Bam can give some advice while you're still in Europe.

Proxies are not the best way to access the Forum as there problems with the script and possibly the cookies.

Thanks rxpharm for yr quick and informative reply. The pleasure was all mine last summer, meeting you in person and learning from yr experiences. As I might spend more time in LOS after my China stint later this year, our paths might cross again and I would be looking forward to more chats.

I'll definitely check into the VPN-option as somehow I'd like to contribute to this fine forum more frequently.
