Advice on setting up a Blog please

Setting up a Blog is something I have been meaning to do for a long time but not sure where to start.

Could anyone please give some suggestions of which program to use. Ideally, a free program, which is easy to update, simple to load.... My IT skills are not great.

For some unexplained reason I never get on with blogspot.com. there are some sites where i can never get past the "content warning" using Firefox and have to switch to IE.

Was going to recommend blogger but if you having trouble with blogspot.com which i assume is the same!
I will not recommend. I have never had a problem with blogger and it is simple to use!
