Paid up e-mail with OE configuration

I have already posted something similar sometimes ago but lost track of it..sorry

Question is - Is any paid e-mail (gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc..) that can guarantee a configuration similar to Outlook Express or Eudora but that I do not need to make it a default in my Outlook Express?

I think you got things confused.
There are two types of email accounts
1) Traditional, you have an email reader (like Eudora or Outlook) AND a separate email account somewhere, usually your ISP
2) Web based - you read your email thru a web browser...like google , hotmail and yahoo mail

if you want a google email account its free, if you need an invite just PM me with your current email address. BTW Google is the best of them

Now I use Outlook Express with the address provided by my ISP..that's right as you said.

However, my question was if is any web-based e-mail configurated similarly to OE or Eudora, and not like the usual Yahoo, Hotmail, etc..

Looker, it may help if you can explain the reason why you want another web-based e-mail that can work with OE or Eudora.

If you want offline ability, Google mail has an option for that as well.

I need an e-mail that I can check online from any computer also when traveling, but that looks well organized and schematic like OE and not like an hotmail or yahoo free e-mails whcih are not easy to navigate..

So you want POP3 access for your Gmail/Yahoo accounts, in an email program like OE, but portable and on a USB key??

Try using Mozilla Thunderbird. There is a portable version which is very good. I use it with multiple accounts

Yes..I think you understood what I need, although no need for USB key, iPod, MP3 and stuffs like that for me...I'm not that fancy (yet)
Basically, I like the POP 3 configuration but the problem of using the ISP e-mail on my computer/lap top it's that if this breaks down I lose all the mails..and it has happend already
By using a web based e-mail this shouldn't happen, but the normal free web mails like Yahoo, Hotmail, Lycos etc..are very poorly configured. Is the Thunderbird free or a pay account?

Thunderbird is an program/application for getting your emails from various email accounts. It is freeware (no charge/cost). USB key are called various names like "Flash drive", "Pen Drive", "Memory stick" etc but they all have various amounts of memory, and plug into a USB port present on EVERY modern computing device.

USD memory sticks I have them.
So..what you mean it's that when I want to see my e-mail from any computer I plug the USB stick in it and D/L all the mails from all the accounts I have? (Yahoo, Hotmail, etc..) and see then in my lap top later on?
But most important for me is the configuration that an e-mail account has. Try to D/L this, although I recently had to remove Mozilla from my lap top because could not open...strange..

Google gmail is my favorite. Great interface and excellent spam filtering. I use outlook express and connect it to my gmail account. I wind up having my messages stored both at gmail and on my computer.

Oh..ok..THAT sounds good too. I was afraid if the messages are being D/L in my computer's OE then won't be left any trace in the gmail itself when I check mails from other computers, as I do not always carry my laptop with me.

How the interface looks like in gmail? Is it a paid or free account? I could not really see info from gmail website

There is a setting in OE to leave messages on the server

It fucking rocks and it's free. Also, its POP download access is free (which I need so I can use with OE and my Blackberry). Some of the other "free" email sites charge for POP.
