According to what I read in the Summary section, we are allowed to store unlimited messages. Also it says no one, not even the Board Administrator, has access to anyone else's PMs. However all my messages from earlier than mid August 2008 have mysteriously vanished. I know I did not delete them. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I had a check on the PM settings - although we have unlimited messages, there is a setting that "prunes" old messages. Currently that is set at 100 days, 3 months and 10 days.
This setting affects all member groups, as it is a global board setting. I can understand the need for this as PMs will take up storage space on the server - if you have concerns, you can send a pm to Rollo Tomasi.

Sorry... Once the information has been pruned from the database it's deleted from the site.
But at least now there is a year instead of 100 days in which to store PMs.Comment
