Hi guys. I am a new member but I am not a new ladyboy lover. My dream for a long time has been to meet a ladyboy in person and now my dream is going to come true as I have tickets to fly to Thailand the first week of December (arriving in Bangkok). I will be there for 4 days and my plan is to meet two ladyboys each day, one for ST and the other for LT (if possible). I have watched a lot of videos from Bangkok and Pattaya but I would like to know your suggestions on which city you think is best to have my first experience, considering I only have a few days. Another question is about the risk of bringing a ladyboy (freelance) to my hotel room. What are the average rates for ST and LT?

Pattaya is smaller than Bangkok and is about a 2+ hour drive from Bangkok Airport and it's usually best to book a car in advance.
In Pattaya most prices are cheaper such as hotels,bars,transportation and ladyboys tend to cost less.
There is probably more ladyboys per capita than Bangkok and lots of freelancers in Pattaya. There is also way more bars per capita in Pattaya and in addition to some dedicated ladyboy bars, many of the girl bars have a ladyboy or two on staff. This is a somewhat different dynamic than Bangkok.
A majority of ladyboys in Pattaya are from the country whereas in Bangkok they are more city girls.

Of course, Pattaya has a beach and Bangkok doesn't. However Pattaya is not one of the cleanest beaches in Thailand but the views are nice.
Pattaya also has the famous ladyboy shows like Tiffany and Alcazar plus other smaller cabarets. So if you like show girl types Pattaya may be your choice.
Always be wary of ladyboys working the street and stay away from the ladyboys on the beach, they are cheap and often trouble.
While prostitution in Pattaya is generally legal, picking up streetwalkers or beach walkers is illegal and could get you in trouble.
If you meet them in bars or other ways, the cops don't care. Police do regular sweeps on the beach.

In Bangkok you are going to find some of the hottest ladyboys in the world. There is less ladyboys per capita than Pattaya but more ladyboys overall, just Bangkok is so much bigger. You can be at your hotel much faster than going to Pattaya and your car will cost less. Everything in Bangkok will cost a bit more such as hotels, bars and ladyboys. However nothing beats Bangkok for stuff to do and see. Pattaya is a straight up party town.
If you stay in the Nana area you will be right in the heart of the action. Nana Plaza is defitinely a must see as it is a complex with dozens of bars and at times has had as many as 10 ladyboy bars. Now I think there is only 4 or 5 ladyboy bars in Nana but Obsessions bar is one of the oldest and most famous ladyboy bars in Thailand.
Nana plaza is fun but mainly gogo style bars. For bars that are more fun to hang out with less pressure I prefer lounge style bars such as Check in bar and Why Not bar which are both in the Nana area. There you can play pool and relax more like a sports lounge with ladyboys.
Again be careful with streetwalkers in Bangkok as there could be a reason they are on the street and again, police look at street prosititution differently than meeting them other ways. They often do sweeps around Nana streets. Obviously streetwakers can be cheaper with no bar fine but if something happens you have no recourse. If you take them from a bar, you will pay a bar fine but there is less chance of troubles because the ladyboys don't want to lose their job at the bar.

Bars may cost more with bar fines, drinks and possibly higher ladyboy rates. However if you are on a tight schedule, the bars will make things much easier.
There is no looking around, just go to the bar and immediately have access to sample a dozen or more at each bar. In the bar you can get to know them and even check out their junk. You can find ones that you truly have a connection with and are attracted to. Check in bar or Why not bar are best I think and they have short time rooms on the premises. You may spend more but you will spend less time looking and be more satisfied with your choice.

Thai Friendly is a good way to meet ladyboys outside of bars. Make sure you have the Line and Whatapp apps on your phone.

Best not to arrange anything too far in advance or make any serious plans before you get there. Many may try to manipulate your time and may not be what you expected when you get there. Don't be afraid to dump them but try to do it away from your room, if you leave the room don't let them leave anything they may need to go back for like a phone charger or some clothes etc. You may find it safer and more convenient to just take them to a short time room rather than your hotel, if you are just doing short time. Your hotel may charge a joiner fee also but this varies amongst hotels. Some of the hotel reviews here can tell you some of the hotel policies.

Bar fines can range from 500 - 1500 baht per day depending what bar it is. Nana plaza tends to have the highest prices but the hottest ladyboys.
Short time can range from 1000 baht - 2500 baht depending on the ladyboy and where you found them. Generally this includes 2 hour or 2 cums but not always.
Long time can range from 3000 - 6000 baht depending on the ladyboy. Generally this is overnight with unlimited cums.
Many hotels have a joiner fee which can range from 500 - 1500 baht depending on the hotel. Sometimes a short time room can be cheaper if you are only doing one hour.

If you are meeting ladyboys outside a bar be sure to check their ID. If they won't let you see their ID, then move on.
Your hotel will check their ID and sometimes hold it until they leave. Often the hotel clerks can weed out manky ID or bad dates for you.

This is a complete explanation of what you can expect there, I really appreciate your time to respond. Based on your comment, I think I will spend the first night in Bangkok as my flight arrives there in the afternoon, and then finish my trip in Pattaya. I checked the website 12Go.asia and they offer many options to get from Bangkok to Pattaya. Have you used this website? Another question I have is what does "Mamasam" mean. I saw this word in many comments on the forum.

If you are staying in Bangkok you can ask your hotel for their car price and check with transportation stands on the street. Very easy to get a car in Bangkok. You can even ask Taxis as they usually offer competitive rates. Same in Pattaya, usually my condo had a great rate for cars, if not there is stands on the street. Pattaya doesn't really have normal taxis. Everyone rides around town on Baht Buses. Usually no need to book online for Bangkok to Pattaya since there is so many ready to drive you there.

I've mainly booked online for transport when I was arriving at the airport or if I was going somewhere further than Pattaya. I have used this one twice to Koh Chang and once to Cha Am. They are good. Their website can give you an idea of pricing but i suspect you can find cheaper on the street.

A mamasan is the boss of a bar. Often they are an older lady or ladyboy depending on the bar, in Obsessions it is a gay guy. They will often greet you when you go into a ladyboy bar, especially in Nana Plaza. Traditionally you buy a drink for the mamasan and you can discuss your needs and get some recommendations. Always good to make friends with the boss. The mamasan in Obsessions is great. He is hilarious and great to have a drink with. That guy is a legend. June at Check in bar is great and the owner of Why Not bar is great to party with, his wife is technically the mamasan.

This is why bars can be best if your time is limited. You have lots of choice, you can check them out completely and you can get recommendations from the mamasan on who fits your needs. They often have short time rooms at the bar and there is no messing around. You can have a ladyboy in your room in minutes.
