Hello people of the internet,  

I'm a long time lurker who has just booked a trip to the Land of Smiles for July. Thought I should perhaps introduce myself. Been to Thailand (Phuket) twice previously, ten years ago now, both times with mates so only had GG action.

Been toying with the idea of a solo trip for a couple of years now, finally plucked up the courage and arrive in BKK of the 9th of July, for an unfortunately short 16 nights.

Having read the fora I promise I'm not here to ask stupid questions, just looking for some moral support, as now I've hit that "Buy Now" button for the flight I've had a sudden attack of the old nerves.  

Was planning on a couple of days in Bangkok, then heading to Pattaya for the remainder. Though might head straight to Pattaya as I'm not so mobile at the moment and the compact nature appeals.

Probably going to book the LK Renaissance based on recent reviews. IF I stay in Bangkok I quite fancy that Sky Hotel, never been in a tall hotel before! Any ideas if it's LB friendly?

I'll stop now, apologies for length etc...

Welcome to the forum.    

You had me thrown on the hotel name for a moment but then I realised it's the Baiyoke Tower.
It certainly was ladyboy friendly a few years ago but I don't  have up to date knowledge.
I would be surprised if it has changed though.

My only comment is it's not going to be particularly convenient for either Nana or Patpong as you will need to taxi to/from both.
Not sure how the new taxi fares will work out but I would guess 60 Baht to Nana and about 70 to Patpong.
