No no no... It depends on how much money you have and nothing else.

I've lived here for 5 years+ and was teaching English for the first 3 of them... I could screw pretty much any college student or working graduate I liked, despite being in my mid-forties and being an overwieght, bald bastard.

Thai girls (and ladyboys) are driven by the need for love and security... This social ambivalence to age and looks has it's effect on the P4P trade also...

Do not worry! Age is no deterrent!

I will be 74 years old this year and I am no oil painting (well the Picture of Dorian Gray looks like me).

My last trip to Thailand was in December 2006 and January 2007 - (look under:

My age was not a problem.

I continue to travel extensively, including Europe and the USA and have never had a problem with a provider because of my age (other than from time to time certain parts of my equipment don't work according to the original specification).

I have, over the years, developed social relationships with many providers that have past beyond sex and onto friendship - where we may go out for dinner, the theatre, a movie, or meet for a drink in a bar whilst they tell me of their latest problems.

OK. I have a sympathetic ear, I am reasonably presentable (as a Grandfather figure) and I am picking up the tab for the meal and the drinks etc.

I am sure if I asked my dates to pick up the tab, then I would be eating and drinking alone!

As everyone has said, it is our wallet, our credit cards, and, to a much lesser extent, our personalities that keep our companions interested.

But we can keep them interested and we can have a great deal of fun for relatively little cost.

Imagine if we were elderly genetic women and we wanted a young guy (or girl) to sleep with us - I know it would be far more difficult.

Yes, I know about the Ladies' penchant for sex tourism in Africa and the Caribbean but, in the main, the ladies who go there are in their forties or fifties.
I doubt that there are many ladies between the ages of 60 and 80 making those trips.

And where do those elderly ladies go in Europe or the USA?? It is extremely difficult or impossible unless they are extremely rich.

As older guys we have it easy - we will find companionship almost everywhere in the world, and even if that which we seek is in the category of specialised entertainment - thanks to the Internet, we can usually find that which we want.

Yes, the price we pay, will be higher than it is in Thailand and the provider may not always be as beautiful as we would wish, but with a little research it is all out there for us.

Do not let age put you off anything - as long as you have relatvely good health and a relatively healthy wallet you will always be OK.

I doubt 60-80year old western women have any real interest in sex, they barely have any once they've turned 20, never mind 60! Its a fundamental requirement for a bloke throughout his life, which is something western women purposely fail to accept. Of course this means they can use sex as weapon & bargaining tool. Last Fall I made an 7 day foray into Bkk, flew EVA deluxe business class, holed up in a Majestic Grande deluxe room, saw a khon performance, enjoyed a full Thai massage, several foot massages w/ manicure & pedicure, ate at an upscale place (Hazara), went out every single night and got laid (enjoyed cocktails, ladyboy tails, gogo girls), bought my entire family gifts along the way, and I dont think I spent more than 3,500 for the whole shebang.
