  • The language barrier, na kap!

i know my first question was pretty stupid, but i really want to go to Thailand, my reservation is the language barrier. I went to Philippines and U.S. Gov website said they mostly speak english, (not true). How about in Thailad?

Unless you plan on going way off the beaten track, the people you will be dealing with on the tourist circuit can speak English well enough for you not to have any problems.

The girls vary in their ability to speak it but they know how to negotiate your needs in any language going. Clever little things they are.

The main issue I notice is when someone speaks with a broad accent, you may need to slow down & pronounce the words clearly, then their faces light up with recognition & you are away.
Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

That's where I've been going wrong!

I always thought that you had to speak louder and more slowly each time until they understood you.
