not a trip report. There have been many posts about this topic in the past, do a quick search. SB did give you the answer if lbs is what you are after during your holidays.

I can kinda sorta guess where Chinag Mai is...Perhaps even guess where Udontai is...But I can't find Jay on any Thai map...

English is definitely not his first language, but an educated guess Had Jay = Hat Yai. They have had a few problems due to the Muslim insurgents. Reported to be a quiet place except for the occcasional explosion. Not the numbers of lbs you will find in Bkk or Pattaya.

Since you're asking the question on a porn site the answer is Pattaya.

Though if you also like great beaches it might be worthwhile to take the extra time required to get to Phuket or Samui but with just one week head straight to Pattaya from the airport

If you were bringing the kids or delving into the nuances of Thai culture then the answer would be different.

Might want to look at the spelling of the cities before you go or you may end up in Burma

Thank you all Brits, Canadians, Yanks and more i loved your answers ... one little thing about my spelling mistakes: Hat Jay or Had Jay are two equally correct ways to spell that city south of Thailand very close to Malaysia. I was there years ago and I had a fantastic time, shows, girls and LB totally different form the rest of the country. Truly warmer, simpler, sexier at times. Some Malaysian friends tell me things are not as bad as other parts of Muslim Thailand ... Had Jay as other cities in Thailand seems to be forgotten in this site, but I hear they're just as interesting if not more. The first time I went to Thailand in 1976, and things changed (for the worse ?) compared to my last trip 2 years ago. Sorry for Chiang Mai whatever I did call it ... but I still don't understand what PAM means. Maybe because I wasn't born in English, as one of you properly guessed .... next Time I'll use the spell checker ....
