The idiot is gone. Michigan finally got off their butts and fired the loser. Now the search begins. Any suggestions?

Just a general comment here, not Michigan specific. Think the skill set for a college coach is somewhat different than a pro coach.
For a college coach PR skills, charisma, recruiting abilty are more important than Xs and Os given that the head coach hires strong assistants to counterbablance that weakness. So for example a guy like Belicheck is much better suited to the pros than college.

I'm no expert, but I am a Michigan fan from afar. I have mixed feelings about it, but I'm not as deeply rooted in it as you are, TM.
At its best, the spread offense is like the punk rock of football, it's so badass it's irresistible. The "Michigan Way" of ground-it-out with the run game, by comparison, is like a 16 year old kid today watching a Bing Crosby number (no disrespeck to my man, Bing) -- in the immortal word of Johnny Rotten, "BOOOOOOORRRRRRRRIIING!"
But Rich-Rod is apparently a bit of a dim-rod. And so we shall next have an untra-conservative bore at the helm . . .
But tell me you weren't pulling your pud at the beginning of this season . . .
Just my two cents . . .

Sorry TM but I've been pretty busy the past few days
This is a red letter day for M football. I was against hiring this cornpone idiot from day one. He comes to a school with the traditions of Michigan with his arrogant attitude abd playstation offense and expects to change a program overnight to his system without the personnel he needed to make such a transition. Then as failure upon failure happens he throws the previous coaches under the bus blaming everyone but himself for his mistakes. This lowlife ignored players that he had his first year because they weren't equipped to play in his offense then when violations were found to have happened he again refused to take ownership of the problems.
I would take an intermediate school flag football coach over this jerkoff any day
I'm hoping Jimmy harbaugh comes home but as I said before anyone could outcoach this cornpone jerk

Billy Jaffe, Radio Voice of the Thrashers:
”I have absolutely No problem with Ohio State. It has a beautiful campus, and for a Junior College it has really great Academics.”
"Gentlemen and ladies, 'Those Who Stay Will Be Champions' is for you too. It's for every Michigan fan that's out there. When the going gets tough, you don't cut and run. It's not the Michigan way. If I heard it once from the old man, I heard it a thousand times -- when the going gets tough you find out who your real friends are, and that's why we must stay. Because there will be championships, and this staff and these kids will bring those championships here."

Its a sad day for me in Texas. I now have a buckeye banner hanging on my office door. Since that idiot was hired I have had to wear a buckeye jacket and now this. If it wasnt for the fact that my planes arrives in LOS on January 28th I am not sure what I would do. A trip to LOS will clear the buckeye blues.TEXASMAC

Michigan really laid an egg on this one. If they had moved faster they might have had a guy like Muschamp that replaced Meyer in Florida. The offense really wasn't that bad by this year, and Muschamp would have brought that defense around in a hurry.
