Rodriguez rubbed everyone the wrong way!! I will tell you this, he will get another job and have success where he goes. The problem was he was flavor of the year when he got hired by U of M. Hindsights is a wonderful thing but the wrong coach for the wrong place.

Now I hardly know the ins and outs of U of M football but I hear this guy @ San Diego St foots the bill in that he has ties to U of M and knows what the hell he is doing....

I remember reading after his first year. He said he wasnt aware of the personnel that Michigan had and whether or not they could adapt to his spread offense. The Michigan people said they werent aware of the type of offense he would run to see if it would fit their personnel. You would think that would have come up some time during the interviews!!!

Probabaly a good choice. It could be a VERY good choice as this guy is U of M thru and thru!!! You guys ahve to give him at least a couple of years to get it right!! he did a GREAT job at SD St.. He improved them right away!!

Disclaimer - my family traces back to Mexico, and yeah, my dad pulled for RichRod too because he was Hispanic but I, for one, just thought that RR was a dick no matter what his ethnicity. I never gave pops any grief when he was a Barry Alvarez fan because I thought that Barry had created a great program and he did it with kids that weren't exactly 5 star recruits. But RR was way too cocky, stubborn, and eventually unable to delegate in a situation that was too big for him. He got what he had coming to him. As for firing Mack Brown, the man has certainly earned the right to have an off year. He will reload and his young talent will grow and they will be back on the map next year - mark my words! Some of the young blood that he is hiring to the coaching staff will be eager to prove their abilities with all the talent that is on that roster too.

..what's with this LEGENDS & HEROES divsions they decided to call themselves, sounds corny to me & from what I've read on the sports forums nobody there likes it either.. Now that the BIG 12 lost 2 teams maybe the former BIG 10 can claim that title, seems logical to me or just call both the BIG 12 NORTH & BIG 12 SOUTH conferences...
