Come On Andy Murray

Let me first of all say that I have not always been a great fan of Andy Murray following him comments regarding the England football team via his website five or six years ago but time heals wounds.
So while having a much deserved no alcoholic day/night in Pattaya, this evening for 3 hours 40 minutes I was glued to the television and live coverage of the second Australian Open Semi Final between Scotland's Murray and Spain's David Ferrer.
What a match that was with some of the rallies often extending to 30 shots before Murray eventually out thought (not fought) his excellent opponent to win in four sets having lost the first.
Now he meets 2008 champion Novak Djokovich in Sunday's Final at Melbourne Park.

No GB Mens tennis player has won a grand slam event since Fred Perry in the 1930's.....fingers crossed that Murray shall at last lay that ghost to rest

Yes GDS I did have a small interest wager on him at 8/1 via Betfair based upon his performance last year when he also reached the final.
If Andy Murray is going to win one of the slams then I believe it shall be the Aussie or US Open, his game seems most suited to a hard court according to the former players I enjoy listening to like John McEnroe & Pat Cash.
I also used to really despise Murray but he's now he's ok, albeit minus any personality.

As luck would have it, I backed Murray to win last year's Australian Open at very nice odds, but decided to stay away from the tennis alltogether this year.

I nearly backed both Nadal & Federer at 3/1, thinking that surely one of those two would have to win it.

In theory I would have had $100 on each to return $400, but thankfully I resisted....

Just back from Centre Court. Ol Muzza didn't have it. Tho there were moments in the 1st and 3rd sets where he looked like a contenda... But alas he always found the net

On another front, Aus got back some confidence in the ODI vs England. Absolutely NO consolation for the Ashes..that's the main Game...but encouraging nonetheless
