This has got to be the strangest world cup I know off since 1986. Other than argentina, it seems all the solid teams are faltering or catching bad breaks due to refereeing.

We may have a first time winner this time around.

i myself have allways been a fan of argentine football,to me their style is exciting, they play to win, with passion and technique,they play great "through" football,without doubt the most natural way,the way the game should be played,even the likes of brazil cannot match this.
just my humble opinion but there you go.
call me an odd ball but id like to see them win the final,it would be a victory for football,and a lesson to all others.

I agree! The only time they've played truly awful was the 1990 world cup final. They deserved to lose that to germany. They were fouling all night and its a miracle they only had 2 people sent off.

No argument from me, and although it might have been sacrilege to wear argentine jerseys for poms after falklands and "hand of god", I think after the current showing, you might as well adopt them as your second team.

Oh and is that mold on the walls of the building behind her as you look from the balcony? Somehow I thought phuket would be more modern than that.

Jake, the building you see opposite is in the Paradise Complex ( a predominantly gay area) and I think where a lot of the workers stay.

I was staying at http://www.theplacetostayphuket.com/ owned by an American called Tom and which is a favourite haunt of many BM's on this forum and LB-69 and others too,  the rooms are great.

Funny story was I had this    guy opposite trying to entice me over to his place for a "shag" when I was on the balcony at nightime having a ciggie.
I think this happened every night of my 4 night stay there  

Thankfully I had Sonya's company for the whole duration

Of all the teams playing in the world cup so far, the USA are the only ones who have shown pride in playing for their country, fair play to them.

So from what I have seen so far, England deserve to go out. The US played good in their first game, but were no great shakes, England should have bet Algeria easily. Ireland bet Algeria 3-0, 3 weeks ago FFS.

It was my birthday tonight in my local, and while down there I never heard the words, english and bastard in the same sentence so many times. One old man said tonight the only two teams he supports are Ireland and whoever is playing England.

England and the british empire are the biggest over rated load of shite in football and everything else I have ever heard of. They deserve to be taken over by all the towel heads and turned into a muslim country so all the white cunts can fuck off and complain somewhere else, like IRAQ.

I must apologise for any anti English/british remarks coming from me recently during the world cup. Tensions have been running high in my household recently after the release of the Saville report this week.
