It was an odd decision to say the least. Think about this one and not many people know this. If it happened today, it would have been talked about ad naseum.

The NFL Title game 1967 The Ice Bowl. Green Bay down by 3 points at the one foot line. They had no time outs and less than 20 seconds left. Lobardi could have kicked a FG and tied the game but he went for the win. Bart Starr sneaks into the end zone, The Pack win the NFL title and go on to win their 2nd Super Bowl defeating The Raiders.....

When an O lineman moves before the snap, it is illegal motion, not offsides. That pertains to the defense.

And I do agree, ever so slightly Kramer moved before the snap. I guess the officials were too frozen by then to see it.

Never noticed that really. I am sure the refs (and some most of the players) just wanted to get out of there. All I remember is Jethro Pugh getting shoved back and Starr sneaking into the endzone. Classic stuff....

I've seen Kramer interviewed later on, and even he admits he probably got the ever so slightest of movement before the snap.

When the game is on the line, when in doubt don't throw the flag.
