1 - The New Orleans Saints
2 - Minnesota Vikings
3 - Indianapolis Colts
4 - San Diego Chargers
5 - Cincinnati Bengals

Bubbling under..

6 - New England Patriots
7 - Arizona Cardinals
8 - Dallas Cowboys

What would YOUR top five teams be at this stage of the season?

I ain't sold on either the Colts or the Vikings...

And after today, in my mind the Saints have distanced themselves from whichever team is #2...

The 'experts' decide...

Why do the "experts" consistently overrate the Patriots this year? They barely beat Buffalo, laid an egg against a mediocre Jets team, lost to the Colts and the Saints and Denver... They're just not that good. Yes, they're best in their (weak) division. Yes, they're probably better than a *slew* of NFC teams with winning records (Cowboys, Eagles, Cardinals, Green Bay *maybe* but I doubt that), but they're just not elite. To rank them at number four consistently when teams out there have done so much more this season is just nuts.

Are the Pats better than the Saints? No.
The Colts? No.
The Vikings? No.
The Chargers? No.
The Bengals? No.
The Steelers? Probably not.
The Broncos? Maybe... (though they did *lose* to the Broncos earlier this season)
The Eagles? Maybe...
The Cowboys? Probably.
The Cardinals? Probably.

Do the Pats deserve to be so highly rated by a lot of these "experts"?
The answer should be a resounding no. I think these guys are rating the Pats on what they accomplished several seasons ago instead of what they are actually out there accomplishing now.

And the Bengals will get spanked get badly in weeks 14 and 15.

If their final game at the Meadowlands in January is meaningful for the Jets then the Bengals will lose that one too.
