Not as funny as watching Hughes being sacked at Christmas and blaming everyone but himself and then taking over from Sam Alladice at whatever club his at now . He should stick to tapping up players on national radio, although he failed at that too. Hughes is so cheap he didn't even want to pay for dinner, just use the government supplied BBC to take JT to his government supplied stadium.

I like it when a plan comes together (rubs his hands in glee with a sinister laugh)!!!! I think the big boys are absolutely shitting themsleves at Citys new found resources. The Big Boys ahve had it their collective way (especially since the advent of Sky) for such a long time now. They clearly dont want to let anyone else into their posh club.

Having said that, I wouldnt be shocked to see City get off to a rather slow start. The team has to gel as good teams must. I wouldnt be shocked if City even found themselves in the lower half after about 6 matches. The Sheik isnt doing this for the upcoming season but for seasons beyond.

One thing I shall say about Manchester City's stadium is that close by there is a magnificent Thai restaurant called Vermillion and a fab buddah styled bar upstairs known as Cinnabar  
A bit different to the Moss Side area in which Maine Road was situated.

No, its not an excuse. It is a prediction but I hope I am wrong and we can stick it up everuones collective noses!!!! Team chemistry is such an important factor in ALL team sports. Players ahve to understand each other and know their proper roles.

BTW I see that diving, cheating twat Ronaldo is up to his old tricks even in the pre season matches. What a disgrace!!!

Who replaces him? Martinez? Marek Hamsik? Wesley Sneijder? Aquilani? or place faith in
Lucas Leiva (who gets better every game)..

No matter what,we have to re-shuffle the pack, but one things certain we can't be ultra
cautious without him..

If we get Sneijder paly him off Torres and put Gerrard in Alonso's role and let Johnson take the
space left by Gerrard we should be alright..hope you're reading this Rafa!

Lucas is a squad player, and IMO will never be any more. Could be even worse news if Mascherano went.

I think we (Liverpool fans) should remember, rafa wanted to sell alonso last season because he was below average for a season and a half previous to that.
Not good news, but no player is irreplaceable.
