"Well done against the best team in Europe" was the quote Nang Faa.
To my brain that was referring to L******l beating Inter i.e. well done on beating Inter ergo "the best team in Europe".
Inter have won the European Cup twice - same as Man Utd - but it is the point that Inter Milan are currently the best team in Europe that I am querying. How does that work?
Inter Milan are 11 points clear in one of the(if not the) toughest leagues in Europe.
they are defending champions and unbeaten in Serie A this season..Last season the won the league by 22 points losing only once... they are the
form team at the moment...simple as that!
Inter also have 4 UEFA cups(if my memory is right) to add to their 2 European cups..
M U have only won 1 Cup winners cup....
Correct on those points but, unlike most footballing fools, I am not into pissing competitions i.e. my dad is bigger than your dad zzzzz...
Simply wondered how they could lay claim to being the best team in Europe. Their last two titles in Serie A came as a result of a) Juventus being stripped of the title in 2005-2006) b) starting with a massive advantage of the other clubs in Serie A from 2006-2007 due to their main rivals being docked points, therefore it's tough to argue their success over those two campaigns.
However, I will agree their 2007-2008 season has been excellent - how they would have fared last night had Marco stayed on would have been interesting. Sadly, it spoiled the game as a true contest.
Roll on the San Siro clash though - should be good.
Interestingly, when Marco was sent off there were no ITALIAN players left on the field...

The return leg will be a backs to the wall battle..but we're not defending so well
these days..gonna be a toughie...
As for the no Italians left on the pitch..thats just modern football getting sillier year on year..

Right now it is hard to argue that Inter are not the best bteam in Europe.
They are unbeaten in 5.5 months! They are 11points clear in the Serie A and will win most of the Italian trophies.
What other european club side comes close?
seriously pig headed, arrogant, double standard smart ass poster!
Right up there with other Italy's greatest achievement awards like 'Youngest Italian to leave his momma - 30!', or 'Most clean shaven Italian who could look impressive to a girl over 12!' or 'Fattest Italian who holds down a job!'
Soon as Jose takes over at AC they might as well hand them the Champs League. Agreed there behind Inter in the standings but that defence is rock solid, Kaka has the ball on a string and Pato an 18 year old is the best prospect in the world for football. Look who he is keeping on the bench.
Jose won't have the idiotic papers or fans who go to football to be "entertained." As Jose said "You want entertainment, go to the wrestling." God I'd wish he'd come back to Chelsea. Oh and hoping Eduardo get back to full health soon. Even though he's a goon no one wants to see that.
