Read up on the differences between ethanol and methanol. I am suspicious whether someone is substituting the cheaper poison for profit. The hotels may or may not know what is going on. Evil employees may be having fun killing the tourists. It's obvious why the hotels and country doesn't want to release the bodies for return to the USA for full autopsies.

Here's at least one Canadian to add to the list:
A Manitoba mother is looking for answers after her daughter died mysteriously during an all-inclusive trip together.
And a lady who said she was brutally beaten by what appeared to be a resort employee:
Police in the Dominican Republic are investigating an attack on a U.S. tourist in Punta Cana that the woman recently made public on social media, detailing a vicious hours-long assault by a man she said was wearing the uniform of an all-inclusive resort.
I wouldn't bother with the D.R....Cuba is mas muy bueno!

Check out these videos and you will be able to understand what might be going on.
They show you the mini bars in the rooms in the first link on Fox.
Some big resort owner saying people are dying because they cannot handle all inclusive food and booze.
What a shit show.

There is a silent killer on the loose in paradise. Waiting to creep into your nervous system and wreak havoc with your body, leaving you vomiting and aching
An investigation conducted by New Zealand's 60 Minutes current affairs program titled To Die For has found high levels of the pesticide chlorpyrifos in The Downtown Inn, the Chiang Mai hotel linked to the deaths of at least seven tourists earlier this year. Chlorpyrifos pesticide
This schmuck Provincial Governor owns this Chiang Mai death hotel. Of course he doesn't want to investigate the deaths and refuses to acknowledge his error.
Thailand public health authorities have dismissed claims made by New Zealand 60 Minutes that the widely-used chemical agent chlorpyrifos is behind the deaths of a number of tourists at the Downtown Inn in Chiang Mai earlier this year.

Yes, Crag. But did the FBI collect samples from the mini-refrigerators? Or did the hotel and authorities block them? Am anxiously awaiting the return of the bodies to the USA for collection of tissue and fluid samples. I want to know what the gas chromatography machines reveal. I've seen those machines. They were nicknamed SUPERSLEUTH.
Can identifiy any chemical signature of every known ingredient made by Nature or Man.

There's been more stories published of American's returning from the Dominican Republic seriously ill - they also drank from the mini-bar and say that all drinks were sealed/capped. If poisoning is happening via the minibar it isn't obvious to the guest. One thing many mentioned was an overwhelming chemical smell in their rooms. This may be organophosphate poisoning from insecticide - but we won't know more until some tests are performed.

If you look at that first Fox link I posted,
it clearly show the bottles are not capped and sealed they are open 40s in a dispenser
the last video tells how the Hard Rock hotel has now removed the dispensers from the mini bars and hired a reputable American company to provide liquor for the rooms.
most likely employees were replacing the good liquor with moonshine or worse.
