Any p4p clampdown underway in Bkk ?

Have been noticing a sharp drop lately in LB adverts for Bangkok, particularly in the p4p notices for LBs in craigslist - any LB ad that gets in there, is gone within 24 hours............
Can anyone throw any light on that ? Is there maybe a new politically-inspired clampdown on p4p LB activity underway ? Are there any other signs of that around BKK ?

Just guessing here, but might be because of the Thai gov't., cracking down on some internet sites?

Certinly no drop off in gg's or lb's activities when I was there in November.

I thought I heard that craigslist didn't except adult escort ad's anymore... they had too many problems in the USA with underage girls and their pimps using the paper.

I don't think the ads are being deleted due to any crackdown on escorting per se - some of the PI and Indo LBs who do the BKK/HK/Sing circuit post multiple ads each day to try and maximise their chances of getting punters in. Some of their "competitors" in turn take exception to this and flag competing posts for deletion by CL moderators (or whatever they're called) on the basis that either they are being posted too frequently (in theory I gather you're only supposed to post a maximum of once a day) or because they're ads for prostitution.

Here in HK, if you check Craiglist throughout the day you will sometimes see that ads that were online a couple of hours ago have already gone...I imagine some nutty LB getting shitty about the fact that she's not had a punter call for days and going on a flagging frenzy, flagging every single ad on CL for review to try and nobble the competition

Sometimes the girls who've had ads get taken down get frustrated and post ads slagging off whoever has been flagging.

Where it gets really amusing is on Vicesisters, which has a feature where punters can review the girls. Some girls post incredibly flowery and positive reviews of themselves...there's an Indo girl who works under the name Angelina ("the queen of sex" apparently) who must get bored in her hotel room as has written dozens of positive reviews on herself. On the other hand, some girls get targeted for really vicious negative reviews - not uncommon for there to be a spate of reviews saying things like "this girl has AIDS", "she is really just a crossdresser with no tits", "bad body odour" etc.

Thanks for the insight TripleZ, I have also heard the same thing from a Filipina TS who advertised on Craig's List.

Bam is right about some western countries though - CLs is not supposed to accept p4p ads in many US states and Canada, because of underage escorts.

tay4sax, I would not judge the drop in CL ads for Thailand with a drops in p4p lbs. As farangbah posted (he is on the ground in LOS), there are still plenty of Thai p4p lbs active.

This is a little off-topic but I have never understood why some Filipino and Indonesian go to BKK to do escorting when they are heading into a place where there is a massive supply of attractive P4P LBs and where the pricing is relatively cheap. OK, I understand the theory that there is also a masive demand for P4P LBs there, drawn by the legendary beauty of the Thai LBs, but if you're getting paid a pittance compared to what you can earn in HK or Singapore, why bother?

The best theory I heard was that some of the foreign LBs head over to Thailand to get their tits done, or whatnot, and post ads in the hope of earning some baht to help defray the cost of the trip and the surgery, but without expecting to make a fortune.

There are plenty of people who pay high prices floating about!!
Phils lb speak english well relative to the locals so if you are wanting a good time away from the room these girls can offer this as well.

Just a quick update, some nutcase(s) is now flagging just about every P4P ad that pops up on Craigslist HK within hours or so of the ads appearing so there are now virtually no ads on the F4M and T4M pages. (Haven't bothered checking the M4M page!) Don't think it is necessarily a crackdown by the management of CL itself, but who knows.
