The ceremony itself, the royal processions, royal waving + kissing on Buck Palace balcony + flypast etc were very impressive. Good luck to the (obviously) very happy couple.  Visitors (esp from USA) were bowled over by it too, no doubt about that.  A very positive day for

It's all the incessant TV ... '3 days before, interviewing the cat, bla bla, doff your cap to these wonderful people' .. that turns me off.   As Grinder says, would anyone dare say anything contentious to risk their future knighthood? Just a bit too grovelling for my taste .... but what do I know?

TT I think you are an excellent candidate for knighthood. Just think, "Sir Chang"! It has a nice ring to it. Perhaps you might even become Canada's next Governor General.

Weddings have always been a bit of a mystery to me   People keep on talking about how beautiful the bride was.
So can someone please tell me, with all these beautiful brides, why are there so many fucking ugly wives.

"Green & Pleasant land", the flypast, the sheer size of the Abbey, the Crows nest panorama rotates were almost vertigo inducing. The Fly balcony trumpeters. Must have been amazing to hear in real life. Pity most of the wedding guests couldn't sing anything even with the words in front of them. Security very out of sight. If this was some other country there would have been visible gun totting "security" in your face all over the place. Well done England!!!!

Yes and we all know what country you are talking about right, Just because you don't see it on Television, don't mean it's not there.

It was all brilliantly stage managed & there was a nice low key theme to the security aspect but are you sure we were watching the same wedding?

Not to cast aspersions but I saw rows of heavily armed men along much of the bridal route. The BBC picked them up as they changed camera around every corner. Almost every corner, most of the police standing facing the crowd did not appear armed but those who were, were packing some serious artillery.

I did a quick search on Google & these are the only shots I came up with but when you see a replay of the wedding, take a look, they are not hard to spot.

Well spotted Pacman. I stand corrected.

It certainly LOOKED to me to be pretty low key. All the fluoro vested Police crowd marshals didn't appear to be armed, but I don't own an HD TV.

Do we think a certain head of state could go down the Mall in an open topped carriage?? Thought not.

Yes it was really terrible what the Prince and Duchess had to endure during the attack on their Motorcade last December.
