LOL Her and great american is one of the biggest oxymorons I've ever heard. Great Americans unite and lead by example, not divide their country and encourage lynchings by the KKK wannabe racist mob. If she wants the job of President, she should listen to a certain someone who had the job longer than she ever will,

The President is a good speaker when he is reading off a teleprompter. When he is not, he is pretty bad and often misspeaks, e.g. saying there are 57 states (Youtube - 57 states), saying Muslim when he means Christian (Youtube - Muslim / Christian), saying that Austrian is a language (Youtube - Austrian), etc.

The difference is that most Americans don't see this, as it is not pointed out in the media.  How many Americans have seen this clip from a Town Hall meeting during the campaign?  Youtube - Obama (without a speechwriter) on health care ... not many, I would guess.

Now does Obama think Austrian is spoken in Austria or that there are 57 states? Of course not. It's a misspeak, it's what he does without a speechwriter.

If anyone needed proof of American media bias, the attention given the Palin misspeak is is a perfect example.

All media just like all people are somewhat biased.  But I don't think Palin is a good example to support your position.  Perhaps a better example is how Ford was lampooned on SNL.

Palin is a lightweight, and unqualified IMO to be POTUS.

McCain figured it would be a good political move (wrong) to add Palin to the ticket.

Lots of qualified right wingers out there but Palin is not one of them.

Dubya not qualified either IMO and if born into a different family would never have gotten close to the White House.  With his skill set maybe he would have been a great saleman or perhaps excell at office politics.

I want my presidents to be knowledgeable and smart; prefer if they are articulate.

More important is that they have good judgment, integrity and leadership ability.

It's this sort of nonsense that makes any sort of rational discourse impossible. Not that "rational discourse" has been my raison d'etre or modus operandi in this thread, but you get my point. When supposedly rational people cannot agree on something as simple as the Palin intellect (or lack thereof) we have what are irreconcilable differences. It's like trying to argue about the weather with someone who insists that the rain is actually sunshine, or the gray skies and roiling clouds are actually a rainbow. If we cannot agree on the basis of what is reality, and have competing realities, then discourse is impossible.
