Scotch only became popular during WW2, simple fact you couldn't get Irish Whiskey.
In the States they re labled Scotch with Irish whiskey lables because it was the Irish stuff the people wanted, Irish Whiskey never recovered to its former glory after WW2.

They slipped in nicely how superior they are to single malts.
Johnnie Walker puts on a some good pomtional events. Was at one in the States where they gave a presentation and let is drink all the Red and Black we wanted. But didn't spot and sissyboys there.
