Who would I like as POTUS?? I thought Rudy would have done an outstanding job. He had a track record. Anyone who could ahve turned around NY City after the Dinkins disaster has my vote. I lived in NY City before, during, and after Dinkins. The impact Rudy had was incredible....
    Be careful out there!

      Hear Hear for Jack Sully....

Plus you have great taste in female mmm attire as well

Still there where once,in a land and century far far away normal decent Republicans.....before it became an overwhelmingly white trash inspired party (excuse my french...) so perhaps we might still live to see the day that they become a viable alternative again.....

BTW i still think Obama should have giving Hillary the presidency. She would have cleaned up the country for him, would have taken the blame from the rabble rousers and would have given him the needed prosperity to stay both electable and really achieve major change in USA policy (both domestic and foreign)....

But,since everybody today believes that you have to take your chances when the present themself REGARDLESS and dont really believe in patience as a virtua anymore i guess it cant be helped.

I still think he will make to through re election (he better i betted someones 10000euro that he would be) though i really think he made his move to soon for his own good...

(alan1chef @ Aug. 22 2010,14:16) Legally, building a mosque a couple of blocks from Ground Zero is not a problem. Although I don't agree with it's approval, they have the right to locate there. I think it does show a measure of insensitivity on the part of the mosque builders, who must have known well in advance that their move would be a bitter pill for many to swallow.

As for Palin...the Republican Party is much too smart to let her get anywhere close to any nomination...lol.
        An interesting little ditty. http://www.markfiore.com/politic....imation

Rudy was a good administrator. He took some simple measures that improved quality of life such as getting rid of squeegie men and implemented new crime fighting strategies.

But the drop in crime was not all Rudy. Roe v Wade had a big impact as menwho would have been entering there peak criminal years in the 90\s were instead aborted fetuses.

Rudy was a study in contrasts: really took hold of several bad situations & turned things around in NYC even before 9-11. But he needed enemies, he constantly acted like a bully... I mean, was "insensitive" with minority groups for no good reasons, and couldn't abide anyone but him in government getting any credit for accomplishments: if that happened he would freeze them out, or worse.

A fascinating character with real abilities & flaws, he reminded me a lot of Nixon, tho not as smart, more instinctual, & I think he too would've self destructed as POTUS. Too bad tho.

OTOH Bloomberg has really impressed the hell out of me, would like to see him run for President.

Right.... a Jewish bachelor from New York City who supports gay marriage & is nominally a Republican, I'm sure there would be a landslide of support for him in the flyover..

Let him run as an indepentdent...

Let him use his network of billionaires for charity to amasse a proper warchest so he can actually do battle with both the parties and let him then pick a cabinet of ''wise'' Democrats and Republicans.....aka those that are in the centre and businessfriendly but dont think cutting taxes in a viable option anymore, not if you look at the current fisical states of the USA.

Anyways i am still going for power of the incumbancy....If Obama doesnt really mess up and there isnt going to be a dubble dip i dont think the current rooster of alternatives on the Republican side could really pose a problem....let give Americans a little credit and come to the conclusion that most of them are sane people..

As for Gingrich...WTF happend to him, opposing the centre for Muslim studies, with the pedigree it has...he has become to populist and to devoid of big ideas to compensate the recent character flaw...
