I have a friend from Elmhurst, who graduated from Columbia Business School in accounting and he had 5 years experience with a fashion design company but he never came up for promotion, instead according to him, they gave management jobs to "white people with a baruch college degree". He was born here but his family's from Taiwan. It pissed him off so much after a while, he left his $75,000 job to become a free lance real estate agent and loves working for himself.

Another person I know (who is white) has a degree from Princeton but has been unemployed since 2008 because of the layoffs and fiscal crisis.

Jake ,not to belabour the point-but are columbia and princeton ,Harvard and Yale?

My point being -oxford and Cambridge graduates are the elite of the elite,perhaps there is no correlation in the Usa.Oxbridge graduates can walk in anywhere.

The other day I fell, cut myself and needed to go to A & E.
Not wanting to sit there for the usual 4 hours, I put on my blue suit and stuck the patch I had downloaded from the Internet to the breast pocket of my jacket .
.  
As I arrived at A & E, suddenly 3/4 of the people   got up and left.
I guess they decided they weren't so sick after all.
Cut at least 3 hours off my waiting time.  

After this success, I tried a few experiments
It also works at  the Job Centre .
That saved me a 5 hour wait.  

And at the launderette.
3 minutes after entering I had my choice of any machine, and my choice of clothes.
Most had left with the washers still running.

Don't try it at McDonald 's though.....
The whole crew got up and left and l never   got my order...

Had quite a lot of dealings with UK Immigration over the years  -  not because I'm an illegal immigrant!  

If you accidently bring an illegal into the UK your company faces a fine of £2000.
In practice as long as you co-operate with Immigration and transport the illegal back out again you don't get fined.

Around 2000-2001 we were carrying back at least one a week and sometimes 3 or 4.
They would be brought down 15 minutes before departure and handed over to us.
One night the 'deportee' was in handcuffs which was unusual and they offered to leave the cuffs on him and give us the keys.
They only did that if they had caused real trouble.  We made other arrangements so that was not necessary.
While talking to the Immigration guy he said it was the 4th time he had seen that particular individual.
Apparently we would get him back to France and the French would just let him go.


I know from experience that despite the security arrangements it was possible for them to occassionaly slip the net in the UK.

5 of them were spotted walking on the side of the nearby motorway.
(A serious offence in the UK for safety reasons and something you just don't see).
They managed to hitch a lift off a police car!

Hmmmm-nice story-I wonder why he wanted to come to the UK so much,the French are in the EU,they have welfare rights and benefits also,and could grant asylum should they want to.....(rhetorical question by the way for all Brits)

I guess if all else failed they were supposed to sink their teeth into the suspect and hold on to prevent escape.

Most of them at that time 2000-2001 were from Kurdish areas in Iran.
They were getting out while Saddam was weakened but not yet gone.
They were going through Turkey then Greece mostly using trucks as transport.
The furthest travelled aparently came all the way from China.

The greatest number in one day was 58 of which I contributed 13.
It may still be the record for the biggest number in one truck.

Took a couple of days to process and return them all and they had to get extra staff from Heathrow to help.

The difference is the other millions of fuckers tend to die within 12 hours. That isn't how it turns out in practicality.

And this weekend I was watching some Deep Space Nine. Watched an episode called the Dogs of War and there were some very interesting quotes/ comparisons to this thread.

And you wonder why someone who's educated, moderate, born in a good family, raised in the west, despite trying their best to fit in gets frustrated and tends to strap a bomb to their chest and want to go blow someone up for their miserable luck in life.

Sounds like a backlash from the Ivor's perspective by someone.

But the real comical thing is the rejects of society who can't live in the west anymore, pretending to be the elites and enforcers of society.

Obviously these people can't stand anyone who they don't want to fuck. These people have fantasies of a revolution but they don't realize their country is now too diverse demographically, culturally, economically and politically for that type of movement to take hold.

So there will never be a revolution but an ideological separation and they'll be the vocal minority that makes everyone look shamefully racist.

In regards to the quote, thank you for perfectly demonstrating my point.

This kind of stuff from both sides is disgracefully apalling and completely ridiculous.

If I was a jerk, I would ask something along the lines of "how do we know the girl who refused to serve the soldier isn't Irish?" but I won't. It shouldn't matter if the girl doing it is a martian, saturnian, venusian or a plutonian.. I'm just shocked that kind of stuff still goes on in the 21st century. It is WRONG and makes my blood boil. What the hell did the soldier do wrong? Serve his country by enlisting and following orders? She should be serving him with pride for having the balls to stand up and protect her because she's she's his countrywoman.

That's gratitude for you. Like I said in the prior post, "this sort of action makes everyone of their kind look shamefully racist".
