As for shite American films, i mean the kind of films that i truely hate and which had (a) bad acting, (b) cheap budget and © stupid with no story worth much in the film.
i have spent nearly 10 years now collecting dvd's and i have nearly 2,000 in my collection,
out of that i have, i have great American and European CLASSICS i spend a lot of time on Amazon,Spendit, dvd.co.uk and play .com trying to find old classics at cheap prices,i love t-girls

Whatever. I can't unwrite what I wrote so I will leave you to jump to your conclusions.
I will resist trying to explain myself again.Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

(Lefty @ Jun. 12 2010,15:12) What determines a shite film? Anything you don't like?
When video stores were all the rage, how many times did you go to pick up something and inevitably some clown [or worse, a chick] would be in the aisle with you telling you "oh, you have GOT to see Air Bud or The Matrix part infinity, that was awesome'' while you are picking out something YOU knew you wanted to see and didn't even pay that person any attention at all? Even worse was getting to the counter; some blockbuster employee making 6 bucks an hour is going to tell me my selection sucks and his choices are awesome because he works in some fucking video store?? Gimme a break.
What works for us may not work for the next guy, and vice versa or course.Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

well, I have seen some total stinkers {IMO} thrown up here these past few weeks, which some people absolutely love; and films which I liked have been tooled on.....who ever knows what is REALLY good except for ourselves?? Same for Seinfeld or any U.S. or Brit comedy, if it makes US laugh it's funny, but if someone else doesn't laugh at it than it must be crap or childish? I don't get that, it's all in the eye of the beholder.
I suggested "Blue Velvet" to my brother once...he hated it, hated Apocalypse Now also, 2 of my fav movies of all time. These days we just chat about stuff other than moviesEven a broken clock is right twice a day.

Just as an aside and quite , in my Uni days I had a job in a 24 hour convenience store as a night manager. Used to get a lot of stoners in there, believe me...anyways we had a video rental thing..cards on the shelves and the corresponding videos behind the counter. We had great fun swapping the tape for Disney's Bambi with Electric Blue #12, amongst others... I guess the stoners never noticed but next day someone else would get a suprise when they loaded 'Bambi' into the tape machine

damn it.......you were one mean MFER
*Don't forget Tarantino started off his career as a video store checkout clown, so apparently SOME of those guys must know what they are talking about!
Randall from "Clerks" also.....he was funny as fuck besidesEven a broken clock is right twice a day.

I went to the corner store the other day, the one with the sign which says "Open 24 hours" on the sign. The guy was locking the doors and heading home; I said to him; " hey, the sign says you are open 24 hours''.

We seem to strongly agree as much on movies as we strongly disagree. That's what makes it fun IMO. Sometimes, sifting through all the posts, we get some suggestions on movies that turn out to be ones we wished we'd not waited so long to see.
Then again, if your favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption and my favorite were Happy Gilmore, that would not, in of itself make you a higher quality person, more intelligent, etc.“When a nation's young men are conservative, its funeral bell is already rung.”
