(manarak @ Apr. 30 2010,14:13) Maybe I have been burned by the guys who wanted me to taste "maxican food" (what they told me was mexican food anyway).
We went twice and it was terrible. After all your comments I'll give it another try, this time hopefully without bell peppers and corn, FFS!
Yeah gods man, what are you doing?

If you want to experience great mexican food, wait until you're either in the USA (west coast preferably) or Mexico.

If you are in Thailand or Europe, take your chances but it may not be "authentic" so don't base your decision upon something served that far from the source.

It's actually pretty hard to fu** up mexican food but I've seen it done many times nonetheless.

I like Mexican food and make a point of trying it every where I can when I travel. I have had it in Mexican, in many cities in the US, along with many cities in Canada, You might laugh at this perhaps, but some of the best Mexican food I have ever had was in Tokyo. So much so, I went back there time and time again.

I also found a great Mexican restaurant in Patpong after my exhausting, draining visit to Star of Light! :-)

DT, have you stumbled on this place also? Not SOL, I mean the restaurant, :-)

no... I try to stick to thai when I'm in LOS with the occasional (but far too frequent) U.S. fast food (Burger King is my weakness).

I love thai food so much, it's such a shame to be in the land of real thai food and pass it up for stuff I can do at home any day.

But as I said earlier, I sadly can't visit the US again, even I would like to.

You can't even get a driver's license or ID card in the USA without having your fingerprints taken...

No the big deal unless you're trying to hide something...The ink washes off...

so... if basically there are copies of everyone's fingerprints anywhere to be easily misused, the prints lost their value as evidence in court, right?

Last May I left Texas ( the kingdon of Mexican food) flew 28 hours to my first LOS trip to attend the big Fajita Party that was sponored bye the forum. I then went to Stringfells, LaBamba, Jenny Star Bar, E-Z BAR the BIG BASH, and dont remember anything about the darn fajitas. I do remember
