Before that night out with you I hadnt been drunk since last summer. Had a couple of glasses of wine over Christmas but nothing that you could call binge drinking.

When am in Thailand next am going to drink like Barney Gumble.

If gambling means playing games of chance then - no I don't.

Very rarely I'll put some quids on the horses which I'm prepared (and expecting) to lose.

I'm simply crap at gambling and it does cartwheels with my blood pressure also!

I do play the stock markets every day, though... but I don't consider that gambling.

I dont like games of chance either Bumpa Stikka, but I wouldnt consider playing cards against other players to be all but chance. Yes its chance that you get dealt good cards, but you decide what to do with them after that.

I think your wrong in thinking investing in the stock market is not gambling. Just look at most of the bookmakers over here. They all offer financial spread betting for the stock markets. I have a trader account with paddypower for it.

Most types of business transactions are gambling to some degree in that the outcome is not 100% known. Otherwise everybody would be doing it as the old phrase goes.

Whether your marketing toys or missiles it all based on probablity that one will succeed and there is no warranty this will happen. Pure gambling like Casinos is more visible because no real work is involved

Basic card counting uses the +1/-1 system. If your in a postive count then bet that X factor. +1 means a 4 5 6 has left the pack where court cards are -1 as they are cards you want. I think this is similar to your system anway. Thats is in a nutshell but i think they may be neutral cards as well like 7s.

Yeah the +1/0/-1 system is similar to what I would do, except mine is for dummies.

The strangest best I ever did was a friend of mine had twins and when they started crawling we used to race them against each other with 5euro bets.

I actually havent been working in a good few months, and the end of last year I was playing poker 5 or 6 nights a week. I was winning between 1 and 2k a week all of November, but ended up blowing it all on hookers, oil for the central heating, and christmas presents.

I went card dead around christmas time and just stopped playing because I get bored of just sitting there for hours on end folding and folding. November was a great month. In 5 hands I got pocket aces 4 times. Got paid out on 3 of them. Folding against a flush in the other one.

My biggest plus in playing poker is my ability to read people. I just have this amazing ability to see straight through people. But I really go into the science of it and physical effect these things have on peoples bodies. I remember I called with just a pair of Qs for a pot worth about 2000euro, it took me about 2/3 minutes to make the call, as it was all my chips, but his face give it away in the end.

Yeah I agree with SNA in the 2000 Guineas. Odds are very short. I think I might do a forecast for SNA and Viscount Nelson first and second respectively. Might do a reverse just incase, but I cant see st Nicholas Abbey being beat today.

Played cards twice this week. Each night I bought in for 200euro and cashed out for a total over the two nights for 2920euro, so a profit of 2520euro. Not bad for two nights work

Had alot of luck in one hand. I had a straight with four cards out. The other guy had a flush. He pushed me all in and a forth spade came on the river and gave both of us a flush, with mine being the highest. Just over 1000euro in that one pot.

I have had a nickname in that casino for about a year now. They all call me "the riverman"
