Well, as it seems, torrent-dls r working 4 BS.

I do prefer to browse the catalogs like avaxhome.ws and JDownloader makes yr life easier as u just need to copy the links and JD sorts them and dls the files, even unzip/unrars them unless there is a password - and it handles interrupted dls very well. But I'm sure this is not the only way.

Essential to all this is the speed of yr internet connection.

For the past week or so, it has slowed down tremendously here at the Mosaik. B4 I got up to 400 kb/s, now I barely get 80, which really sucks. Back home I got almost 1,000 which makes signing up with rapidshare or hotfile really a worthwhile deal as one ONLY dls directly from their server and never uploads which also plays a role in good old Europe when it comes to copyright infringements.

Here is my current JD-window, but this is not a good time. However, I expect Cambo to be worse ...

Bumpa Stikka is the 4th last one, The Prisoner, the 60's cult classic? I read last week ITV and HBO have just finished filming a remake of it.

There was a remake of the Prisoner that aired on AMC here in America last fall, but I heard it wasn't very good. Ian McKellen was the antagonist. I think you can still watch all the original episodes on AMC's website.

I haven't downloaded much recently because I've just been too busy to bother watching movies. But I downloaded a screener of Avatar and watched that while writing a paper. I also downloaded New Moon for my brother (don't ask). I still want to see Ninja Assassin, so I might grab that next.

I just pulled down (and watched) today Occupation, with James Nesbitt, Chaos, Deserter (Simon Murray in the FFL) and currently Lucky number Slevin with morgan Freeman. Part 6 of The Pacific on Monday  

I get my movies, etc from stagevu, using an orbit downloader. Ken Follet's 'The Pillars of the Earth' is due for release later this year.

I'm with PD, I'm just starting to learn all this downloading p2p stuff so the technical info on this thread is very helpful to me.

Loved "the Conversation" & "Rio Grande" especially. The knock has always been that John Wayne couldn't act but some movies he shone in, "The Searchers" is simply one of my faves of all time. You know if you never saw that 80's miniseries "Lonesome Dove" I think you would dig it, I only saw it for the first time a few years ago... great!
