I am curious about the guys who sported the dyed mohawks.
I never had the desire to dye my hair but when I was a callow youth, I looked on those guys with a mixture of anger & envy.
My question is 'was a dyed mohawk the magic bullet to get into the hot chick's knickers?'Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

I guess I had punk hair. It was short and spiky.
I also wore a lot of clothes that I got at thrift stores; some really cool ratty old blazers and shirts from the the 50s and 60s. These looked great with a pair of wayfarers, some chuck tayolrs and ripped up jeans. I also sported the Ramone's look on occasion.
Fuck it, I admit it, I was a new wave poser from the suburbs. Kill me now."Bankin' off of the northeast wind

And skippin' over the ocean, like a stone."

But mostly it just made other guys look at me with anger and envy.
Which, of course, was exactly what I was going for at the time . . .
