Smutts-given the climate, if an election were held tomoz I think Romney beat Obama easily. Hell, even Huckabee might beat him!! Guiliani would beat him as well. Here a blast form the not too distant past, a guy that would probably trounce Obama as well: Julius Ceasar Watts. I dont know what hes doing now but hes probably somewhere in the private scetor making loads of money.

Heres where you lose me Smutts, although I made the statement , "The good news is the Democrats will be voted out. The bad news is Republicans will replace them." How is that a ringing endorsement of the Republican party?? You seem to think that the electorate march in a well defined lock step. Guess what?? They dont??

You having a shot at me thinking I agree with that dope Pat Robertson is akin to me thinking that you agree with those equally moronic dopes (and racists) Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson-both of whom were treated as serious candidates for the Democratic Presidential nomination.

    BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!

I don't know what political climate you're watcing BB but as bad as Obama ratings look anyone with half a brain still knows what a joke idiots like huklebee is and what hypocrite Romney is. Sorry but a little drop-off in opinon polls 3 years before campaigns even star is not a valid barometer.

As far as the GOP electorate being in "lockstep" I'm not sure what else you would call it? The only time I see "non-lockstep" is when Michael Steele says something they disagree with and thats only because he's the ni---r in the woodpile.

Watch the Sunday morning news shows on any station other then Faux news. Every reich winger every week is in total lock step against anything Obama or the democrats have to say. And speaking of Faux news....how many times do they even have a alternate view? I seriously wouldn't know because I have a parental block on that channel on my televisions.

Now to Robertson (I noticed you didn't comment on Oxyman) when do you ever see a reich winger of any merit disavow any of his racist comments? Never!!! Now when do you not see Obama and others distance themselves from comments from Farrakan?

As to Jesse Jackson I love the way he is always labeled a racist especially by the reich wing because he supports african americans in court cases etc. Yet they always forget that there have been numerous occasions where he has came to the support of white people also. Myopic views by a political party that lives in myopia.

As a non-American,but an interested observer in US political affairs via the internet,I am amazed at the anti-Obama comments. His seat in the White House is hardly warm, and all some right-wingers want him to do is fail! For God's sake ,give the man a chance!
You have just had two terms with a borderline retard in charge,a man who waged an illegal disastrous war,got the country in record debt, alienated America and Americans throughout the world, and you can't wait for his party to be voted back in!
Obama is a beacon of hope for America,an eloquent intelligent statesman,of whom we havent seen the like in a long time.I hope he has the courage to pass his health reform bill, the vested interest insurance lobby must not suceed in stopping it.
To even think Sara Palin could be considered as vice-presidential material made the GOP a laughing stock,a woman who thought Africa was a country ,not a continent. How stupid do you have to be to NOT be considered?Barring an absolute disaster,Obama will win another term easily,I hope so anyway.

You don't know the half of it Travis. Live in a right wing state where bumper stickers saying "Fuck Obama" are common and anti-Obama rhetoric is even on sports talk shows for pity's sake!!!!! It's like the fifties and the sixties with the Jim Crow laws were in effect. People in the south love dem bros when they are playing football or basketball for them but please don't let them hold public office, let alone the presidency!!!!!

What about the people who denigrated Bush in 2001 when he was barely into his term? Of course no one here is going to defend Bush, because most of the posters here are HUGE hypocrites when it comes to politics.

And for the record, I'm an Obama supporter.

The denigration of dumbass dubya never got as vile and certainly not as racist as it has been with Obama. Never did I see any FUCK BUSH bumper stickers and I traveled quite extensively. The most I ever saw was the red circle with a red line across it over a W sticker. I'm sure there were more but I seriously have seen as many as 25 F Obama stickers just around where I live.

(BlueBallz @ Jan. 18 2010,00:07) So strocube since oyu have such a horrible impression of your fellows citizens and if they make you that afraid, do you have plans to emmigrate???
YES! I have plans to emigrate, unfortunately it's going to take me while before I can make a move. I've gone off willy-nilly before and I'm not likely to try that again, unless things get really dire.

Also, dude, I'm not saying that all Americans are drooling knuckle-draggers, just enough of them to make me very nervous. As I stated before, the ratings Faux News gets speak volumes about the general level of intelligence and awareness, or lack there of, in this country.

BTW the popularity of Fox News is a direct result of the historical left wing bias in the print and visual media.....

Please BB get an original arguement or at least some new material. This has been the reich wing's mantra since I was in high school. Hell they used to call Walter Cronkite a commy for pity's sake. The only reason faux news has such a following is the left has better things to do then sit transfixed to a bunch of reich wing extremeists spout bigoted commentary and because the left has enough sense and brains to know how to change the channel. Sorry the reich wing is so limited in their coordination.

Thank You, Travis......  fuck, the last guy had 8 years to totally mess up this country, can't Obama at least get 4?

If he sucks after 4, we vote him out; simple.  But the righties have hated him long before he ever got in and haven't backed off one bit since he has been in there, it's childish and divisive to our country.

*Notice how the FOX comedy channel hasn't once mentioned how the Dow Jones is at 10,500 these days?  When their stooge left office with the country and the constitution in tatters  it was at 6500 LOL. But report GOOD news from this presidency when it hurts their agenda??  never....talk about hypocrisy,  BH.

As for the ratings, I don't take much notice of them to be honest.  Fox can claim to have twice as many viewers as the other cable netwoks, but seriously would you rather have, say, 2 million viewers of that redneck, red state,  uneducated NASCAR-viewing crowd,  or 1 million educated viewers from the big east and west-coast cities who don't just blindly follow whatever comes on the boob tube and nod "uh-huh,  you go Bill!!".

Pro-Wrestling was once in the top 10 spots. Things have changed, a cartoon called "Sponge Bob" is. WTF

Clearly we can't argue validity of Fox News (the spin begins here) based on popularity?

                            http://en-us.nielsen.com/rankings/in...ngs/television

Fox news doesn't rank in the top ten in ANY category.

According to the Wall St Journal or Herald Tribune ( cant remember which one , freebie Plane news papers eh) Fox News is the most popular "Cable" TV Channel. The article was about how the advent of the Shock Jock Radio shows lead on to such stations as Fox News.

Stuck in a Hotel Room and with only CNN, SKY, BBCWS or FOX id go for FOX any day of the week..it might be rubbish but at least its entertaining rubbish. Personally i always flick through and try for CNBC or Bloomberg as TV Wall paper
