    3. Double-click on 'NoLmHash' and change the 'Value data' from
    '1' to '0'

    4. Navigate to the following location in the registry editor:
    MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanManSe rver
    \Parameters

'Value data' from '1' to '0'
    This machine is absolutely fantastic.

Thanks to one of the members for bringing this over to me from Best Buy in the USA. (You can't get these in Thailand!)

I had the WD TV before but the 'live' version is awesome.

Go to YouTube, etc add all your computer drives, media servers...

However; if you have Windows 7 Home Premium you'll have a problem. But the fix above works for me and many of the others who have had a sharing issues.

If you have lots of video files and want to watch it on your big telly then google this little gadget... you'll be glad you did!

You may also have a look at a gizmo called "popcorn hour" "networked media tank".
I believe it works without hacks.
I got one and I'm very happy!

You can get an HDMI cable for $5? Blimey!

The advantage is that instead of plugging in hard drives to the HD TV, with the 'LIVE' version I can now read my entire media contents from anywhere in the house.

It's fun to watch YouTube and other media server add on TV stations (Fox, CNN, etc) on the big screen while I'm working on my computer.

I can also screen movies on line directly through the WD TV Live without my computer being on through some free channels out there.

I also have a subscription to www.live365.com which is handy when I just want to listen to the radio...

Running cables to the TV from my computer is inconvenient... but I do have to do it for the NFL Game Pass package I bought for the football.

But the biggest kicker is I can sit on my ass or lie in bed and control the lot and not worry about changing channels from my computer, etc.

          I'm addicted to it!

I bought a DVI to HDMI cable 2 years ago and it was only $15,
easy to pic one up for under $10 these days.

No need to buy a high end PC to TV cable given source material is not likely to be the best anyways... IMO
