Everything she said & did indicated she was covering something up.

She couldn't tell the truth no matter what she was asked, then she is waved through as if it is perfectly normal to have envelopes of cash hidden through your luggage.

If she had a perfect alibli with her bankbook, why the hell was her behaviour that of a guilty person?
Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

The Border Force is absolutely useless. they may as well not even be there.

Getting into the UK is easy - just say you are 15 and they will wave you through. I've seen people who look in their mid thirties been waved through because the Border Farce can't be bothered to screw around with the child laws. No passport? Fake passport? No problem... Just say "I'm 15 mister!" and they'll wave you right in.

Plus you can't tell me the inspecting officer wasn't trying extra hard to appear to be doing a dilligent job.

He seems just a touch too relieved that he didn't have to actually charge the girl with anything once his senior decided there was no case to answer.

Grinning at the camera like he had done all he could but it wasn't his fault that the guilty party had made a mockery of the system.

No wonder the UK is the country of choice for scammers & cheats from everywhere.

                    i agree,
it brought it all back to me, how it is just in their nature to lie to falang, even if the truth is a better story.
on finding an extra grand - "oh, thats my friends".

FFS it's a TV show... These shows and the like are always a tad contrived and over dramatised.

Must admit I think the customs bloke didn't twig she was an LB.

                        Cheers DK

Home Office Minister is in the poo for saying immigration officers were 'putting their lives on the line'. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news....es.html
I hate it when civil servants, doctores nurses, teachers, etc hijack the term 'frontline' to describe their work- it denigrates those that are truly fighting in the frontline. I bet infantrymen in Afghanistan are gutted at the hardships and stress of those looking at passports all day, and the overtime that goes with it. Also the word 'hero' is vastly misused these days
I couldn't give a shit how long it is until you're next holiday- I live here

And the Customs guy was quoted at being "frustrated " that he couldn't seize her money even though she proved it was hers .

With the increase in security at airports nowdays you see it all over , jumped up little people feeling all powerful and important , if you are caught with a bottle of water its the crime of the century and you will get a lecture from some spotty little oik .

Well at least the cash dog went away happy
Free your mind and your ass will follow .

Seriously, who gives a shit about $1k or even $10k undeclared cash in a western country....

Just seems far too over the top to me.
And why confiscate someones cash, why does she even need to prove the cash is hers?
Possession is 9/10 of the law and if they can't prove she has the money by illegal means
she should be free to keep the cash. Why must she have bankbooks etc? (just as well she was thai)

What century are the people from? I haven't used a bankbook for 20 years or more~
