This Sunday was the 46th anniversary of this historic event. NatGeo showed this great program about it. It was basically TV news reports of what happened that day and the aftermath when Oswald got shot by Jack Ruby. So many things that happened you could say, "That would NEVER happen today."
It was all quite remarkable. On clip showed some dweeb walking right on to the news set with a piece of paper. He whispers the name Jack Ruu.....and the newsman quikcly puts his hand over the mic and asks about 3 times if the report is confirmed. The guy looked like a real dork. He just wandered on to the set. Finally the newsman IDs Jack Ruby owner of the Carousel (no, not the one in Patts).
Another scene after Oswald got shot. The police chief says, "Oswald have expired." Some wag in the background shouts out, "He died?" Fucking hilarious.
Before Oswald got shot they interviewed the chief and he said words to the effect that people might want to hard Oswald but we have taked precautions to see that he safe. I guess not.
Now there was another program on the day before where they replicated (is that the word?) the kill shot Oswald supposedly took. They also analysed other theories i.e. other directions that people theorise that shots came from i.e the grassy knoll and all that. They had "skulls" made and actually put stuff inside that replicated the brain matter. They had a couple of witnesses that claimed they say the splatter inside the limo before it was quickly cleaned. They also had some crime forensic types that took a look at the splatter that was replicated by a sharpshooter. The sharpshooter took the shot at the exact distance and trajectory as to where Oswald was supposedly in the Schoolbook Repository. Fascinating stuff.........................

which kept me very occupied for a few hours, very interesting stuff indeed
