Is there any chance we can have a separate forum for online spats?

It's starting to get to a point where you have a 20 post off topic
personal clashes (all in good fun of course) and the point of the OP
gets lost in the scuffle... Sorry socrates.

It must be frustrating for other members who don't care too much for
others point scoring games , and yes i know i am responsible for a tiny
fraction of these moments ..

If you can just call out a member into another separate thread/forum
by say,errr a little emotiocon for the other poster to take or leave
at their digression??

Even i'm doing my own head in now

Unfortunately people rarely let the mods know what's happening so there's not a lot we can do.

I hear what you are saying,
But the issues we have been discussing that have stoked the fires of heated debate are emotional subjects. Love gone wrong, or, (in the case of socrates thread) love gone right. And they are not topics that have easy yes/no answers.
As one almost as guilty as you of getting into barneys, I have looked back through the threads where you and I have been most "agitiated" and really we have rarely strayed too far off topic: we have at worst been passionate defenders of our opinions. (ok, with the odd post or two of name calling, but thats not insurmountable to readers.)
I reckon let it go!
People are passionate. You are passionate about your girls and the respect they deserve.... why consign that passion to a backwater?

I just got tired of a certain BM and put them on iggy- it was far easier. A thread was started but it just got silly so I ignored it. I agree that it takes away from threads but it's gonna happen from time to time, now who wants an arguement http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teMlv3ripSM
