I don't know about anyone else, but when I travel, one of my first considerations is WIFI access. I must have WIFI everywhere I go due to my job. And the speed of the access makes a difference. For example, I must access some websites where if there is not enough bandwidth, I cannot get to what I am doing. I know not all of you need as fast bandwidth, but I thought I would poll the audience here to see where you have found the best access around the various countries when enjoying the LB's.
I have been to many of the Asian countries and lots in Europe in my travels.
Here is my non scientific findings of overall internet speed by country. It can depend on the hotel but I have been to many hotels and internet cafe's in all these countries so it is the overall experience that I am reporting.
Fastest countries to slowest:
South East Asia:
1. Thailand by far. Almost everywhere I go in that country, I am never disappointed.
2. Vietnam - Surprisingly enough, they got it together.
3. China
4. Indonesia -fair to decent depending on where you go.
5. Philippines - same as Indonesia
6. Cambodia - This country takes the cake for lack of speed and access to the point of frustration. Many places are as fast as 56K dialup. If you need good access, forget it in this country. They still have not bought into the concept of how important internet is to the world and it shows.
Europe:
All countries seem to be equal. I have not found much of a difference in quality.
Anyone have any input on Central or South America?
I dont think there are many LB's in Africa so I left it of the most frequently traveled list of countries with LB's.
Any other input?

it DEFINITELY ain't Thailand 
. Ok I'll quantify that a bit- I find speed is far better in Pattaya and Bangkok. Phuket is painfully slow on some days.
