Off base edits, mystery deletes and saving face

A campaign to rid the forum of some negative posts by new registrants ended in a positve result with those posts being removed from the C&D's thread.  I applauded this move and as a result we haven't heard from the likes of [redacted] or a handful of new registrants that signed on just to attack whoever they chose without repercussion.

However as a by product of this there seems to be some mysterious deletes without any explanation. not only have I had this happen, but I have had several posts edicted.  

Here is just one example below where called them after deleting a photo. instead of addressing it in a PM they responded with a threat.  At least I got a response with an explanation.  However this photo was straight from the sponsors promo site and no logo was removed. Why would I remove the logo, when I was pointing out the site she did the shoot with in my post.  Appear to be a little anxious to edit or delete me with a heavy hand.

Sounds like they were looking for a reason to send you a message, so they chose the "no logo" excuse. Interesting to me is the use of the terminology..."detract from the topic"....when it appears that the pic was "in topic". Also..."this is the last"...is a bit too much. I mean...what's the point of using that language with you?

Yes, Alan it seems a little heavy handed. The explanation was my enquiry to why the photo got deleted was off topic? Go figure. Same photo is posted on my DeskTop thread but still there?

Yesterday in a response to a post of MastorBator I asked about his motivation to him giving a LB 6,000 for a night.

In response after mine Pacman pointed out Mastorbators generosity and said he opened up himself to critiscism from Cheap Charlies. Nothing abusive about either post.

In a post after Pacman I sighted him for grouping me in with those cheap charlies. I jokingly said at the end of the post that he was off my X-mas card list and not because I'm cheap.

He posted back letting the forum and me know that the post was written before my post went up.

Administration (whoever that is) or a moderator deleted my question about MB's motivation to give her 6,000.

They kept Pacmans original post that may have looked to some like he was having a go with me.

They deleted my tongue cheek comment of taking him off my x-mas list, but kept the rest of my post which may make it appear that I'm upset about Pacmans comments.

The post after by Pacman who clarifies that he wrote what was posted before my comment, was later deleted? Why? Off topic? Now left with edited posts thatlose meaning, and I have a double posting on that page where Pacmans non-abusive post was deleted. https://theladyboyforums.com/cgi-bin...t=21165;st=120 Post 134 -137 is the area in question and you can read that MB happily responds to it. Everything was on topic and MB had no complaints about it. It was clear case of meddling when it wasn't needed.

Then you look back through MB's thread and his poll thread and everything is tolerated? Is this the way its going to be for everyone or just me? It just reeks of some sort of face saving payback for calling them out on doing something with the influx of new registrants who's only history was slagging valuable contributors of the forum, while they brought nothing but rubbish to the party.

we're not a subtle bunch.
Just keep on subject for a thread, don't branch off and don't attack other board members.
If you have an issue with the mods, use the 'report this post' feature.

Nikky/Ton is very cute, I like her a lot and she has absolutely nothing to do with a thread about Carnival.

The preceding are just two edits and deletions that happened yesterday. This has been happening for the past few days to me, and from I have heard some others have gone by the wayside.

I get them deleting my earlier posts when I was calling them to do something about the new registrants cybor warriors. I'm fine with that, but to put me under a different scope than others, I just don't see why that is warranted. No explanations or PM's until today, putting the threat on me and told me to start a seperate thread. So here it is.

Maybe they can shed some light here? I don't think everyone is blind to whats going on, we just don't know why?

You're being thin skinned, if someone really had it in for you, you'd be deleted - its as simple as that - this is a benign dictatorship (and at the moment we have a faceless dictator).

The mods are all doing this part time, and if they do edit/delete something they probably don't have the time send PMs to all the parties involved.

Your are looking for a conspiracy where one doesn't exist.

Ok then why go off topic and post on a thread about going off topic? I get it that you can do whatever you all like, goes with the title I guess. We can't question when big brother takes an action?

Where were other BM's being attacked? posted photo of Ton/Nicky from promo shot, and asking MB his motivation behind giving a lb 6,000 after a night of passion?

Did Pacmans post attack me? So a mod took it on their own accord to delete this? I didn't report him and in fact try to keep it light with that x-mas card list line.

I think Nicky/Ton is fantastic too! doesn't she work at Carnival? I think that was the topic of the thread. If posting her photo was on that was off topic, then why did my photo of her stay.

I had an issue with a mod over 2 months ago and reported it and it got me no result and a smug "The post stays" regarding an abusive post I reported.

I was going to report Administrations post about the alledged cropping of logo, however its says: This page is for reporting abusive behaviour (spamming, rude posts, etc.) ONLY.
DO NOT use this form just to contact a moderator - these messages will be ignored!

Thin skinned? I stood by and watched the attack of me on Phuket threads and even went into self imposed exile from the forum and then upon return spoke up about the attack of another BM in Jimbo and you tell me just don't branch out and attack other BM's.

Lets talk about thin skinned and why my recent posts have been deleted? No attacks on BM's.

Thats the point, I have been deleted...at least my posts have.

As far as controversy or conspiracy goes, its my opinion the forum mods enjoy this as it drives the forums veiwership. It was all good as long as none of the shit was directed at them. How else would a guy like [redacted] be able to post the pure rubbish he did without being deleted? His posts stayed and after I left they surfaced again attacking Jimbo. Those didn't get removed until I spoke up about it..maybe to nauseum, but at least it got done. I'm not saying there is a conspiracy against me, I'm asking why some of my posts are being edited and deleted, when they aren't attacking a BM? It sure appears to be inconsistant and perhaps some are not happy with me speaking up. You can discount it as me being thin skinned, but you haven't been on this end of it have ya?

Just a quick note about the Mods.

Most of us mods just do the easy stuff such as keeping the forum spam free, deleting a duplicate post, perhaps moving a thread from one sub forum to another.

We leave the controversial stuff to the owners.

Usually a Pigdogg would be after a Boarhog, but I know thats not the case.

I've never had a thread deleted. In fact I never had a post deleted until after 2,800 posts, and when that happened I was fine with it being deleted.  

Now after coming back I have had 15 either edited or deleted in the last week to 10 days?  

Another example, 2 days ago I posted some action shots on the erotic arty ladyboy photos thread.  Added humerous titles to them and recognised the BM who took them and put them in a catagory of their own.  All the action shots were deleted? These can't be erotic or considered art?  Is it that serious of a thread that we can't look at the lighter side? Removed with no rhyme or reason to why. I just don't get it.  So I enquire. Not that I expect to get answers.

Now that I have started a new life of my own and will make an attempt to continue in the footsteps of my Master I am reading through all these threads wondering why things got out of hand with MB's thread.
I did find a pm from a moderator saying that he would honour MB's request to remove posts that were abusive and/or off topic. This was realted to p4player (aka as Piglet) and had nothing to do with the mighty Boarhog I believe...

And yes, quite rightfully they would not accept off topic posts on a TR.



Perhaps that is the reason for the deleted post -fearing things would get out of hand . Some of p4players posts are still in there for the sole reason that I believe MB reported those but he asked them not to delete until further notice.

Perhaps they did not (yet)see in those lenghty final posts that MB did respond to the question about the Bh 6000,- and said that he prefered it to reamain a mystery about who is actually sponsoring who and who is doing who a favour. In the end all parties involved (Nut, her friends, Karl & Lita, Free, the BM's that were invited and were looking forward to the pool party) were happy and more importantly nobody lost face -which can be an issue for not only Thai's but also for farang expatriates.
The good atmosphere at Karl's birthday party was the ultimate proof that MB did save the situation and who cares how much that cost.
An investment in the future? A birthday present for Nut? A reward for Karl?
Who cares?
It all became such a complex situation and many who were not present (including admins, mods and BM's) will find it hard to comprehend.
It resembled a Thai soap opera but fortunately with a happy ending!

It is good that you opened a seperate thread for these rants or for those who want to vent some frustration. MB did the same with "MB is a wanker".

MB came back in a dream last night (read my TR) and says hi to you.

After carefully reading all posts in sequence (as suggested by posts 1 & 3), using the same eyes as I would do if it was work, and being 100% neutral, I have to agree with Boarhog concerning the flaw of ideas.
Even for someone like me whose language is not english, I could feel some gaps in the logical stream of the posts.

I also notice an interresting point from Snick ("faceless Dictator").
Piggdogs confirms that controversial things are let to the owner, which seems to be fair.

Now, if I put all this together, it just gave me the feeling that it can be a simple over reaction (somewhere, some one).
It can happen, mods administrator, etc are just people like you and me. No special training for this, no diploma, no ethical or steering committee...

The web site has new owners. There are adjustments certainly underway that should fit more the owner's wishes. Fair enough.
It seems also that few know exactly who is the "boss".
There is undoubtly a moment of transition where we can have some glitches, or "turbulences"...
I would not rule out that some more editing privileges have been attributed. Perhaps a person with little experience as a facilitator, or little diplomatic skills have done some editing without thinking twice.

I do have the feeling that things will adjust by themselves step by step.
