why my neighbours who are on benefits for 4 years, can afford a car and both smoke whilst breeding more noisy trailer trash.
why everyone is so fat.
why fat girls wear tight t-shirts.
why fat people come to my gym and stare at the tv screens.
why some people do not wash.
why blokes have to traipse around asda with their wives pushing the trolley.
why whole familys of six have to got to asda together.
why people are on a mission to park as close to the front door as poss.
etc...etc...etc.......

im losing it man, i just dont fuckin get it.

then i log into a forum, to be among my own, have a bit of banter with guys i have met.
and see all this alien/space stuff. cartoon pictures and all sorts of shit.
and yes, i ignore it.
but just wondered if you were all enjoying it.

Well, I like reading, and I like also reading science fiction novels (currently the Endymion/Hyperion Cantos saga by Dan Simmons, translated in French of course...).

And I agree with you Anthony70, Master Bator, alias Chuck, is not easy to read when he "goes boldly where, etc... (I can't even recall the famous Star Treck line!!!)
But if you read other threads or posts from him, you can place him back into a better context.

He is a "true" expatriate, and we are very very few like him.
I can tell you that it does not make you with the mind of a person who is just a number among others, in a city, under a grey sky, with a routine life.
Not sure if it makes you better or worst (worst ... I am afraid), it simply tends to make you slightly different, and perhaps a bit bizare, I agree...

I would disagree with that. Everyone has there own ideas on what "genuine success" is. I could be wrong but I'd say alot of the forum members would think, a 600baht barfine, 1000baht short time fee, some hot and heavy sex finishing off with blowing your load on a hot thai ladyboys face or tits been quite successful.

Am starting to understand where your coming from Anthony. Some of those things bug me too. Scabs on benefits able to afford holidays to Tenerife. Your unemployed and scabbing off the tax payer, you's dont deserve to go on holidays and fat girls pushing a buggy while wearing Pyjamas in public during the daytime. I also hate the Irish army. Bunch of wasters the lot of them. A friend of mine is in the army and done a tour in Kosovo. He was shit a pool when he went, and a pro when he came back, cause all he did there was drink, and play pool, and go on patrol every once and a while and get this, they get paid wages from the Irish tax payer, and the UN aswell. They make the best part of 5000euro a month, with free room and board for there 6 month tour. Compared to, a 18 year old british soldier in afganistan where the bullets are flying, earning only a fifth of that. For 5000euro a month I would expect Irish soldiers to be on the fucking moon fighting aliens with lazers. No wonder Ireland is broke wasting that kind of money. I also hate eastern europeans who fly to Ireland on a cheap flight with ryanair once a month to sign on social welfare, and then fly back home and just withdraw the money from there. I also hate tracksuits and burberry caps, like for fuck sake do they like been followed by security guards in shopping centres. They might aswell get shoplifter tattooed on the forehead.

I understand Mastor bator perfectly. I found his trip report to be entertaining, but am abit of a trekkie and a starwars fan. Kinda lost interest when it dragged out, but now I just look at the snaps which are very good.

I have no problem with Master Bator. I enjoy his posts. I'm a bit of geek myself so, for me, it's all good.
He posts some great pictures and it's pretty clear he's led an interesting life.
This forum would be a less amusing place if he were to stop posting.
The ripping on others, I just ignore. As they say in Latin Amereica, "Yo no tengo perro en esa pelea."

I'd consider a 600 baht bar fine and 1k short time fee to be overpaying. Guess those are Bangkok, and Pattaya newbie prices.

I do know and accept that some self proclaimed superstars are more likely to locked in at those minimum prices...but in Patts there is no need to EVER pay more than 500 ST. Unless ya just gotta have one certain one.
