Many worthy (and justified) tributes from todays bunch of celebrity chefs.  Keith Floyd was always one of those guys I wanted at my imaginary party of celebs (or preferably running it).  4 wives, chaotic finances, laid back TV, entertaining guy.

He always loved Thailand, and inspired me to cook thai food.  And has a restaurant (not sure if still open) in Patong.

RIP        ......   Enjoyed life!

That is terrible news Alongside Rick Stein, Keith Floyd would be my equal favourite television chef.

Always having a quick 'slurp' of red wine while cooking away in front of camera.

Well things come in 3 and we in Ireland lost a young boxer who was pretty good at winning.

Like you dave, me and my dad used to have great laughs at keith's programmes,

Pretty ironic he died the same night as channel 4 screened the documentary "Keith meets Keith " which was a fitting tribute to the man .

I nearly cracked a rib laughing when after showing a lot of short clips of the modern day celebrity chiefs singing his praises he described them to Keith Allen as a "bunch of cunts "

He's given me some laughs over the years , I recall him in Japan eating sushi but getting tore into the saki in between , and one time in some Nordic land conducting about 50 drunken Vikings in song as he cooked them a BBQ .

I couldn't imagine Ramsey or Ainsley Harriot doing that , a totally unique character , we'll never see his like again .
