Murray found himself in a favorable draw with a clear path to the semi's of a grand slam event only to fall to a minnow--again! Murray never made a grand slam final this year. Like Paradorn, the hype has to do with where he is from otherwise he would be just an innocuous player in the top 10. Murray is not a loser, just a good player that his fans place totally unrealistic expectations upon. He is looking more and more like just another Henman.

True. The startlist in US open this year is impressive, and the players lef tfor the quarters (even the 1/8 round) are the top ranked in the world, so its a great tournament this one this year. All the big guns are there.

Hes a good player with a shit attitude. i e He will never be number 1, he doesn´t have the hunger or fire to be the best. He looks bored on the court.

Hmmm so Cilic is a minnow then he's a top player (top 16) , Murray is useless (world no.2, fife titles this year), has a shit attitude and is another Henman (except he has won the same amount of singles titles at 22 as Henman won in his career).

Murray's only problem playing-wise is he is too one dimensional and suffers (7 out of 8 in Grand Slams) when he faces a power player on his game. It's not enough to simply play the ball back and hope the other guy makes a mistake. It will get him past most opponents but when a belter like Ancic plays well then he's not got a Plan B.

Sure he's dour, sure he can be surly, sure he's prickly (sure that's al ot of sures) but so what? The guy will win a Slam within the next couple of years - but then, of course, blokes like Agassi, McEnroe, Roddick and, yes Federer, might not know what they are talking about eh?
