Know a good 'Proxy' site?

Hey guys

What is a good proxy site that you encountered/currently using which allows you to do things like update, write, email, upload etc?

I'm using www.zend2.com right now but it wont let me do more...

I am in need of a good one

Hi Lisa.

As I am in Shanghai too, I'll ask my host what she is using and will post the answer for you. I know that the internet here is a little bizarre. Some sites have no problems while others, like facebook... have many problems.

If you are using a mac you can use Hotshields.com

It's a VPN software that will let you surf without restriction. I'm looking into a PC version if you need that.

As for free web proxies...that is rather hard to do since the Chinese government blocks those pages too.

Maybe another good soul will find something useful for you. Fingers crossed.

Hotshields.com is patchy at best. I think mainly because it is one of the few well known free services.

If you want consistent OK service, it is better to pay a little (or a lot) for a VPN service. Google it or perhaps ask Bam who apparently knows more.
